Solving the Plastic Waste Crisis
rePurpose Global is driving the global transition to a circular economy that is aimed at reducing waste, reviving lives, and restoring nature’s balance.
How It Works
Creating Positive Socio-Economic Impact
Our impact projects engage with 1,800+ waste workers every month.
Guided by the Plastic Credit Protocol and the Impact Code, every rePurpose Global Impact Project is designed to create positive socio-economic impact by ensuring dignified livelihoods, safe working conditions, an - above all- respect for waste workers.
Creating Impact for a Better Future for Our Children
Children in India are at extremely high risk of the impacts of the climate crisis. Plastic pollution is intricately linked to the global climate crisis as greenhouse gases are emitted throughout the plastic life cycle.
By funding the recovery of low-value plastics in vulnerable communities like India, we will be making a lasting impact not only on the environment but also on the children impacted by plastic pollution and climate change.
(Clean Sea)
Project: Saaf Samudra
In Hindi, Saaf Samudra means “clean sea”. Goa is home to some of India’s most beautiful seas and coastlines. Its rich marine biodiversity includes turtles, dolphins, and endangered corals.
This Impact Project is our effort to stop ocean-bound plastic waste from leaking into Goa’s coasts, thereby protecting theArabian Sea and its marine diversity.
(Eternal Courage)
Project: Sada Shakti
Through Project Sada Shakti, we are catalyzing the recovery of low-value, soft plastic packaging waste (MLP) that would have otherwise been dumped in overflowing and hazardous landfills. MLP is used to make everything from chip packaging to candy wrappers.
This Impact Project is our effort to stop nature-bound plastic waste from polluting the rural areas of India’s southern state of Karnataka.
(Green Tomorrow)
Project: Hara Kal
In Hindi, Project Hara Kal means “green tomorrow”. The Indian state of Kerala is known for its lush mountains and fertile Arabian Sea shoreline that supports tea, coffee, and spice plantations.
This Impact Project is our effort to stop ocean-bound low-value plastic waste from leaking onto Kerala’s beautiful palm-lined beaches.
