What's the difference between SmartyPants™ and Our Diaper Pants?
Nothing! SmartyPants™ and Our Diaper Pants are the same great product, with different branding. We never want to waste any packaging, so you may still see the SmartyPants™ boxes until they're all used up.
Does the HealthyBaby logo go on the front or the back of the diapers?
The Healthybaby logo goes on the back of the diaper.
What is the tape on the back of the HealthyBaby pull up style pants?
Our pull up style pants are designed to easily tear off on the sides when you need to take them off (so you don't need to pull them down and create a mess). The tab is actually a little piece of tape that allows you to close the diaper up when you're taking it off, so you can roll it up and use the tape to seal it closed. Our regular diapers have elastic ears (tabs) that serve that function, so our diaper pants have the added tab for this function.
How do I pick the right size?
Our sizing is based on weight and we allow for overlap because every all babies are different. Use our sizing chart above to find the correct size. Are HealthyBaby diapers safe for sensitive skin?
Yes! Our Diaper is dermatologist tested, hypoallergenic, TCF, and designed to keep baby’s skin drier. Despite all of this, diaper rash and irritation may happen sometimes. The best defense is to clean baby with gentle wet wipes (try ours!) and let baby’s bottom air out.
What parts of your diaper are plant-based?
The parts of Our Diaper that touch baby's skin—the topsheet, innersheet, backsheet, waterproof outer cover, and leg cuffs—are plant-based. The fluffy absorbent core is made of sustainably harvested wood pulp (100% FSC certified), and our outer cover is made of 15% organic cotton grown in the USA.
Why don’t HealthyBaby diapers have a wetness indicator?
At HealthyBaby, our priority is making the safest, most effective products with fewer ingredients and materials. Wetness indicators found in other diapers are made using a dye or pH indicator that changes color upon contact with urine. This requires chemicals, like quaternary ammonium and halogenated organic compounds, which have been linked to potential reproductive and developmental health harm. For us, the convenience of a wetness indicator is NOT worth compromising baby’s health.
Do your diapers contain plastic?
All disposable diapers contain some amount of plastic SAP (superabsorbent polymer) to make them waterproof and absorbent. HealthyBaby aspires to make the world's first 100% plastic-free disposable diaper, but we're not there yet. The parts of Our Diaper that touch baby's skin—the topsheet, innersheet, backsheet, waterproof outer cover, and leg cuffs—are plant-based. The absorbent core is made of sustainably harvested wood pulp (100% FSC certified). Our Diaper is EWG VERIFIED® and has been tested for VOCs, pesticides, heavy metals, and more to ensure the safety of every material. We also make cloth diapers and encourage parents to explore combo diapering.
