Eczema affects nearly one in four children. If you're raising a baby with sensitive, eczema-prone skin, you know that every product requires label-checking and a patch test or trial run before you know it's safe to use. Diapers are especially important, because baby wears them nearly 24/7 in their first three years.
HealthyBaby diapers set the highest standards in ingredient safety and transparency while providing 12-hour leak protection day and night. Keep reading to learn why parents of babies with sensitive, eczema-prone skin choose HealthyBaby.
EWG VERIFIED® diapers, wipes, and skincare
In 2020, HealthyBaby created the first EWG VERIFIED® diaper, which means Our Diapers meet the strictest standards for ingredient safety and transparency. HealthyBaby diapers are made without parabens, phthalates, PFAS (forever chemicals), fragrance, chlorine, lotions, and other common chemicals linked to potential health harm. Many conventional diapers and other babycare products still include these chemicals, which can be especially irritating to eczema-prone babies.
Over the years, HealthyBaby has launched an entire family of EWG VERIFIED® essentials for baby, including wet wipes, diaper cream, shampoo and body wash, and other skincare products. By using HealthyBaby essentials, parents can trust that every product in their baby's diapering and bathing routine is skin-friendly.

Certified Microbiome-Friendly® diapers
Baby's skin is their largest organ, and the protective layer of healthy microbes in their skin microbiome is a key part of their developing immune system. A compromised skin microbiome is prone to diaper rashes, irritation, and eczema flare-ups.
In 2025, HealthyBaby became the world’s first certified Microbiome-Friendly® diaper brand. Scientists at MyMicrobiome, an independent organization dedicated to advocacy and education about the skin microbiome, tested the topsheet, leg cuffs, and back blowout protector of Our Diapers and Our Pull-Up Style Diapers to determine if they chemically alter a normal skin microbiome when wet. Repeated trials confirmed that both products maintain an optimal skin microbiome.

"Best Diapers for Sensitive Skin" Winner, Best of the Bump Awards 2025 and 2026
For two consecutive years, HealthyBaby has been named "Best Diapers for Sensitive Skin" in the Best of the Bump Awards. Our Diapers were put to the test by The Bump's editorial team and real parents and babies, who judged it on absorbency and leak protection, materials and construction, and ease of use.

A few review highlights:
"My daughter has very sensitive skin, but I did not notice any irritation, redness, or signs of diaper rash while using [HealthyBaby] diapers. I also did not see any strong red marks around the leg cuffs or waistband.”
“[HealthyBaby] diapers protect very well from leaks both at night and in the day."
“[HealthyBaby] diapers felt breathable and comfortable for my baby’s skin."
FlashDry® Technology and Magical Air Channels®
HealthyBaby diapers are designed with breathable, plant-derived layers to provide 12-hour leak protection day and night and keep baby 3x drier. This isn't just great for parents; it's ideal for healthy skin. When liquid hits the topsheet of Our Diapers, FlashDry® technology boosts absorption and wicks moisture away from baby's skin. This is important, because damp skin is more likely to get a diaper rash, especially if there's friction against it.
Then Magical Air Channels® quickly and evenly distribute moisture across the diaper. This prevents it from bunching up with liquid, which can cause sagging, tears, or even bursting in other diaper brands. Liquid travels to the diaper core, where superabsorbent polymer (SAP) absorbs the liquid and turns it into gel.

100% ingredient transparency
HealthyBaby is committed to ingredient transparency across its portfolio, from prenatal vitamins to its family of EWG VERIFIED® diapers, wipes, skincare, and home cleaning products. All intentionally added ingredients and materials are fully disclosed on product packaging and online, so it's easy to know exactly what's in contact with your baby's sensitive skin.
